The Global Forum on Implementation of Social Protection Programmes for Food Security and Nutrition: Towards Partnership for Development to be held in Moscow on 10-11 September

The Global Forum on Implementation of Social Protection Programmes for Food Security and Nutrition: Towards Partnership for Development will be held in Moscow on 10-11 September.

It will be attended by representatives of the World Bank, the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the UN International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the UN World Food Programme (WFP), the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), as well as national and international NGOs.

The forum aims to strength the BRICS potential in the sphere of social protection and nutrition.

A panel discussion will be devoted to the BRICS countries' experience related to the food security and nutrition aspects of social protection programmes in light of the commitments formulated in the Rome Declaration on Nutrition of the Second International Conference on Nutrition (ICN2), which was held in Rome on 19-21 November 2014.
