International Media Centre (IMC)
The BRICS and SCO International Media Centre is located near the summit venue, Congress Hall, in Ufa.
The IMC will be open to accredited journalists around-the-clock from noon on 7 July until noon July 11.
Free high-speed Internet access (Wi-Fi) is available at the IMC Network name: Summit Please refrain from installing your own Wi-Fi networks They could significantly affect the speed of the summit's public network.
International media centre
INTERNAL TV NETWORK
For convenience and prompt updates for media representatives on BRICS and SCO summit events, the monitors at all the IMC pavilions will display internal television programming.
The information channel will also broadcast all the summit events open to the media, as well as information on the summit's programme, the IMC, press pool activities, announcements of upcoming press briefings and press conferences, and other video and photo content related to the BRICS and SCO summits.
Information Desks
The main Information Desk located in the IMC's Media Pavilion can provide any necessary information on the IMC and summit events as well as general inquiries.

EXHIBITION PAVILION «UFA»
The pavilion hosts an exhibition on the past, present and future of Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The display includes large scale 3D models of the city, rare historical photographs, works of art and examples of the republic's technology achievements.
MEDIA PAVILION
The Media Pavilion offers workstations, computers with high-speed wired Internet access (100 Mbps) and the necessary office equipment. Some workstations are also equipped with telephones with free long-distance and international lines as well as multifunction printers and fax machines. All the workstations are equipped with 220V European power outlets.
For the convenience of all accredited journalists, it will not be possible to reserve workstations at the Media Pavilion.
A special area will be set up near the host photo agency's office in the Media Pavilion for photographers.
The Media Pavilion also has a stand-up area on the interior balcony Reservation requests are handled by the Host Broadcaster (see Host Broadcaster).
BROADCASTING PAVILION
The Broadcasting Pavilion includes facilities for TV and radio broadcasters. For detailed information on the operation and technical equipment of the Broadcasting Pavilion see Host Broadcaster section.
BRIEFING HALLS
The IMC has two small Briefing Halls with 120 seats each and one large Briefing Hall with up to 150 seats.
All of the halls are equipped with professional lighting and audio capability; equipment for simultaneous interpretation is also available.
During the summits, the halls will host press briefings and press conferences with Russian and foreign government officials, representatives of the business and expert communities on the key topics of the BRICS and SCO summits.
Briefing schedules will be available from the Information Desks and will be announced on the Internal TV network.
POOL GATHERING AREA
Pool journalists holding pool cards must arrive at the Pool Gathering Area at the designated time (See Journalist Pools).
Detailed information on the meeting time and each pool's ID number will be available on the IMC's Internal TV network.
SITE MEDICAL CENTRE
If you or your colleagues have a medical emergency, please contact the 24-hour Site Medical Centre for assistance.
FACILITIES FOR DISABLED
All the IMC facilities are equipped with wheelchair ramps and accessible bathrooms.
INDIVIDUAL LOCKERS
Individual lockers are available for the safe storage of your personal belongings.
Individual lockers are located at the Media Pavilion and at the Pool Gathering Area.
Locker keys are available at the Information Desk at the Media Pavilion.
The Organising Committee is not responsible for the safety of personal items left in individual lockers.
PRESS KITS
Press kits will be handed out to all representatives of accredited media outlets.
You can receive your press kit personally on showing your media accreditation badge at the Information Desk.
Designated Smoking Areas
Smoking in the IMC is permitted only in designated areas.
Smoking outside the designated smoking areas is strictly forbidden.
FIRE SAFETY
There are emergency exits in all IMC facilities per fire safety regulations.
In case of a fire emergency, please follow the instructions issued by firefighters, security officers, IMC staff or volunteers.
Lost and Found
If you find someone else's belongings, please return them to one of the Information Desks, where you can also inquire about any personal item you may have lost.

RESTAURANT
Free meals will be available at the IMC for accredited journalists. Sandwiches, tea, coffee and soft drinks are served around-the-clock
Hot meals will be available at the IMC restaurant:
Lunch: from noon to 3 pm
Dinner: from 6 pm to 9.00 pm
No food is allowed in the Media Pavilion, Broadcasting Pavilion, Briefing Halls or Pool Gathering Area.
