World Bank ready to cooperate with BRICS Development Bank

The World Bank is ready to cooperate with the BRICS New Development Bank, President of the World Bank Group Jim Yong Kim told a forum at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C., USA.
He said he would do everything in his power to find innovative ways for collaboration between the banks.
When asked what he thought the New Development Bank needed to do to grow into an influential player in the development sphere, he replied that, as Russia assumed the BRICS Presidency this year, the World Bank was ready to respond in any effective way to support the New Development Bank's evolution and establishment. Although the project has only just started, he said they would welcome and support the initiative.
