On 12-13 November 2015, the heads of the BRICS competition authorities met in Durban, South Africa, on the sidelines of the 4th BRICS International Competition Conference. The theme of this year's two-day conference was "Competition and Inclusive Growth."

"The BRICS countries have a unique opportunity to promote competition, taking into account the needs and aspirations of the developing world," Tembinkosi Bonakele, the Commissioner of South Africa's Competition Commission, said, adding that this conference was expected to provide an impetus to carrying out cooperative research initiatives, exchanging information and generating new ideas for responding to the challenges of globalisation.

The Russian delegation was headed by Igor Artemyev, head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).
