SCO and BRICS international media centre expects almost 1,000 journalists

The international media centre for journalists accredited to cover the upcoming SCO Heads of State Council Meeting and the BRICS Summit, will open in July to accept almost a thousand Russian and foreign media representatives, Alexander Kolpakov, Head of the Russian Presidential Administrative Directorate, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"It is expected that the media will work at the international media centre 24/7 for five days," he explained.

The media centre will be set up in close proximity to the Congress Hall, the main venue of the summits. "The centre will be divided into several sections, for the print media, for radio and television companies, for brief news conferences, for journalist pools and so on. There will also be a cafeteria to serve the accredited journalists around the clock," Alexander Kolpakov said.
