Vladimir Putin meets with leaders of BRICS and SCO

President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation had a series of meetings with the leaders of BRICS, SCO countries and invited states.

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping. The two presidents exchanged views on priority matters in bilateral relations, cooperation within the BRICS group and the SCO, and current international issues.

Vladimir Putin met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The two presidents exchanged views on key issues in bilateral and international cooperation.

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. The two leaders discussed further development of the strategic partnership between Russia and India, and bolstering the share of innovation and high-tech cooperation in the two countries' bilateral trade and economic ties. Mr Putin noted too, that the process of India's accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as a full-fledged member is now beginning.

Vladimir Putin met with President of South Africa Jacob Zuma. The two presidents discussed the Russian-South African strategic partnership's further development and strengthening ties on the international stage. Mr Putin and Mr Zuma put particular emphasis on diversifying trade and economic cooperation, developing investment ties, and expanding humanitarian contacts. The two presidents also exchanged views on a number of international issues and looked at cooperation within multilateral organisations and regional integration groups.

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The two presidents discussed, in particular, bilateral cooperation in trade, the economy and investment, expanding cultural and humanitarian ties, and cooperation with the Russia-Belarus Union State.

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Dilma Rousseff. The heads of state discussed key issues in bilateral cooperation, including the opportunity to expand trade and economic as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.
